Small, owner-run businesses around Fife, and further across the central belt and Scotland. If you own the business and answer your own phone, I'm probably a good fit.

How much does it cost?

The review is free. After that it depends on what you need, so I'll hear the details first and give you one clear price before anything starts. No surprises.

What's in the free review?

I look at your site and write up a short review: the things I'd flag, plus the bits I'd tighten. It's yours to keep whether you use me or not.

How long does a rebuild take?

Most sites are live within 2-4 weeks, depending on how quickly I get your content. I'll keep you posted the whole way.

What happens once it's live?

I keep it working. If something needs changing, send me a message and I'll sort it. You're talking to the person who built it, so there's no support desk to get past.

Do you build sites for clinics?

Yes. Clinic websites have rules most people don't know about - advertising prescription-only medicines, the ASA and CAP codes, and Scotland's new 2026 Act. I'll tell you in plain English if anything on your site could get you in bother, and fix it.

Can we meet in person?

Yes. If you're around Fife and it's easier to chat it through face to face, I'll come to you.

1. Who I am

Jack Lamond is the data controller for personal data collected through this website. I am responsible for deciding how and why your personal data is used.

Directly from you - when you fill in my contact form, send me an email, or call me.
Automatically - through cookies and similar tracking technologies when you browse my website.

4. Why I collect your data (legal basis)

Under UK GDPR, I must have a lawful basis for processing your personal data. I rely on the following:

Legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f)) - to respond to enquiries you send me, to improve my website, and to understand how visitors use my site.
Consent (Article 6(1)(a)) - where you have opted in to analytics or marketing cookies, or signed up for email updates.
Contract (Article 6(1)(b)) - where I process your data to fulfil a contract for services you have engaged me for.

5. How long I keep your data

Contact form enquiries - retained for up to 2 years, then securely deleted.
Client records - retained for 6 years after the end of the business relationship, as required by HMRC guidance.
Analytics data - retained in accordance with my analytics provider's default retention settings (typically 14-26 months).

I will delete or anonymise your personal data sooner if you request it and there is no legal obligation for me to retain it.

6. Who I share your data with

I do not sell your personal data. I may share it with trusted third parties who help me run my business:

Hosting provider - my website is hosted on servers that may be located in the UK or EEA. My host processes technical data to serve web pages to you.
Analytics provider - if you have consented to analytics cookies, data about your visit is shared with my analytics platform (e.g. Google Analytics or a privacy-friendly alternative). This data is anonymised or pseudonymised where possible.
Email provider - if you contact me by email or sign up for updates, your email address is processed by my email service provider.

All third parties are required to handle your data in accordance with UK GDPR.

7. Your rights

Under UK GDPR, you have the following rights:

Right of access - to request a copy of the personal data I hold about you.
Right to rectification - to request correction of inaccurate data.
Right to erasure - to request deletion of your personal data ("right to be forgotten"), subject to legal obligations.
