1. About these terms

These terms and conditions ("Terms") govern the relationship between Lamond Limited (company number 12248063) ("we", "us", "our"), which trades as Jack Lamond, and any client ("you") that engages us for digital services.

By engaging our services, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms.

2. Services & scope

• The scope of each project is agreed in writing before work begins, typically via a proposal or statement of work ("SOW").
• Significant changes to scope may require a revised quote and timeline.

3. Fees & payment

• Quotes are provided in writing and are valid for 30 days unless stated otherwise.
• A deposit of 50% is required before project work begins. The remaining balance is due on completion, before the work goes live or is handed over.
• Invoices are due within 14 days of the invoice date. Late payments may incur interest at 8% above the Bank of England base rate, as permitted under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998.

4. Your responsibilities

• Provide required content, images, logins and feedback within agreed timescales.
• Project timelines are estimates; delays caused by late feedback or missing content are not our liability.

5. Intellectual property

• On full payment, ownership of the final deliverables transfers to you.
• Third-party components (fonts, stock assets, plugins, frameworks) remain subject to their own licences.

6. Confidentiality

We treat all client information as confidential and will not disclose it to third parties without your consent, except where required by law.

7. Cancellation

• Either party may cancel a project with 14 days' written notice.
• If you cancel, you remain liable for all work completed up to the cancellation date. The deposit is non-refundable.

8. Our liability

• Our total liability for any claim arising from our services is limited to the total fees paid for the relevant project.
• We are not liable for indirect, consequential or loss-of-profit damages.
• Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any other matter that cannot be limited or excluded by law.

9. Complaints

If you are unhappy with our work, please contact us and we will do our best to resolve the issue promptly and fairly.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes that cannot be resolved by agreement will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
